The elevated plateau of the Atherton Tableland is located 93.5 kilometres (58 m) southwest of Cairns City. The Atherton Tablelands offer so much to visitors and the area is also an excellent accommodation base from which to branch out and explore other nearby regions, with a variety of options ranging from caravan parks to bed and breakfasts, eco lodges, welcoming inns and luxury retreats.
